Each event will offer a ton of fun activities and attractions for tourists that flock to the city to enjoy their holidays. The upcoming holiday season is no different, including the dazzling display of lights by various theme parks in Walt Disney World. In this blog, we will highlight the top events and festivals that will mark the end of 2018 and the beginning of a new year in 2019.
THE ICE EVENT
A long-awaited cultural event among the locals is the ICE! The event is held at Gaylord Palm Resorts located in the South Orlando, in Kissimmee. The event is held in mid-November and continues on through early January. The ICE! Event features spectacular ice sculptures, ice monuments and many other larger than life structures made entirely from ice.
BUSCH GARDENS CHRISTMAS TOWN
Another popular cultural event in Orlando is the Busch Gardens Christmas Town. This event is held annually from November 19 to December 31. The Christmas celebrations feature thousands of lights and a special show by Sam the Snowman featuring a crowd favorite Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer.
THE EPCOT’S CANDLE LIGHT PROCESSIONAL RUN
Epcot is a popular theme park and each year it holds an annual Candle Light Processional run each night from November 24 to December 30. It is considered as one of Disney’s iconic holiday traditions. The children will enjoy the procession run with many characters, a narrator, and a mass choir.
THE OKTOBERFEST
The Oktoberfest is one of Orlando’s most popular events that features the true culture and essence of the city. You and your family can enjoy live music, dancing, street performers, plenty of food, and special games to keep the kids entertained for hours.
